Motorists travelling along the EM Bypass and Park Circus connector experienced heavy congestion
Kolkata: A private car burst into flames on the Maa Flyover close to the Boat Club on Monday evening, causing severe traffic disruption across E M Bypass and the Park Circus connector.Emergency services were alerted, and fire department officials arrived at the spot to douse the blaze. To ensure public safety, traffic police enforced vehicular restrictions on the flyover for around 25 minutes. Although firefighters brought the situation under control swiftly, motorists travelling along the EM Bypass and Park Circus connector experienced heavy congestion and slow-moving traffic for nearly 40 minutes before normal flow was fully restored by traffic authorities.
