Ranchi: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday arrested a man for his alleged involvement with the over 100-acre forest land scam in Tetuliya mauza of Bokaro district., it said in a statement. The accused, identified as Shailesh Kumar Singh, 59, was arrested from Bihar’s Patna.“During the investigation, it was found that the arrested accused, in conspiracy with a co-accused, prepared forged and fabricated documents to facilitate the illegal sale and purchase of protected forest land,” the statement added.Notably, CID in July last year arrested the director of Ranchi-based Rajbir Construction Company, Punit Agrawal, in connection with the case.Agrawal was accused of setting up a fake company, transferring funds into it from Rajbir Construction and utilising it for the illegal purchase of land in Bokaro.
