Buxar/Ara: Chief minister Samrat Choudhary on Wednesday visited Lord Vaman temple at Central Jail premises in Buxar and the historic Jagdishpur fort and Babu Veer Kunwar Singh Smriti Museum in Bhojpur, besides reviewing development projects and interacting with beneficiaries of govt schemes.At Vaman temple on the occasion of Vaman Dwadashi, Choudhary performed puja and prayed for the happiness, prosperity and development of Bihar. He announced plans to strengthen Buxar’s connectivity, including a proposed four-lane expressway linking Buxar with Gaya via Koilwar, to be named Viswamitra Path. He also spoke of a proposed greenfield road connecting Buxar and Bhagalpur through Ara, Arwal, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Jamui, Sheikhpura and Banka.The CM later visited Churamunpur panchayat, interacted with Jeevika Didis and inaugurated a tailoring centre run by the group. He also inspected govt scheme stalls set up by the district administration and reviewed Sone canal beautification work near Jyoti Chowk.In Jagdishpur, Choudhary garlanded the statue of Veer Kunwar Singh at the fort before visiting the museum dedicated to the 1857 revolt leader. He watched a 15-minute 3D documentary on Kunwar Singh’s life and inspected oil paintings, artefacts and historical relics. He directed officials to develop the fort and museum as a major tourist attraction.The CM was accompanied by ministers, MLAs, chief secretary Pratyaya Amrit, DGP Preetika Verma and senior district officials.
