Ranchi: A Central University of Jharkhand (CUJ) student, Kaushik Kumar Hota, has earned official recognition from Guinness World Records (GWR) for his participation in a world record-making national-level online quiz organised through MY Bharat portal under Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, govt of India.The event witnessed participation of 390,812 people from across the country, which GWR recognised as ‘The most users to take an online quiz in one week’. GWR issued the certificate to Hota for being one of the participants. He received the certificate on Sunday.Giving the information, CUJ said this was not Kaushik’s first major achievement, adding that his name has already been included in several reputed record books, including India Book of Records, Asia Book of Records, International Book of Records, America Book of Records, and Golden Book of Records for writing three books by the age of 16.Speaking on his achievement, Hota said, “I am also informed that my performance was among the best in the online quiz, which had taken place last December. I am happy to get this award.”Governor of Jharkhand Santosh Gangwar has appreciated his achievements during a meeting at Lok Bhavan. In addition, minister of youth affairs and sports Mansukh Mandaviya has praised Kaushik for his record-setting efforts.Former governor of Odisha, professor Ganeshi Lal, has also appreciated Kaushik’s achievements and blessed him for his future endeavours.Moreover, vice-chancellor, CUJ, professor Sarang Medhekar said that Kaushik’s achievement was a matter of great pride for the entire university.
