Times News NetworkBokaro: The much-awaited air connectivity from Bokaro appears to be inching closer, with district administration, Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL) officials stepping up preparations ahead of the proposed DGCA inspection.Bokaro DC Ajay Nath Jha on Thursday said senior officials from AAI, BSL and Jharkhand civil aviation had visited the airport recently. “The team reviewed key facilities, including the runway, boarding area, airport premises and operational arrangements. It has been asked to ensure regular maintenance and cleanliness of the airport campus before the DGCA inspection. More stress was given on removing unwanted vegetation, including overgrown grass and small shrubs, to maintain the premises as per aviation standards.”There was a discussion on operation and maintenance issues and a directive for timely coordination between AAI and SAIL authorities. The inspection has renewed hopes among residents that Bokaro may soon move closer to getting regular flight services.
