A Bharatiya Janata Party Tiranga Yatra in Dhanbad experienced a brief physical altercation between two party workers

DHANBAD: A Tiranga Yatra organised by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Dhanbad on Thursday was briefly marred by a physical altercation between two party workers.The incident took place at the Zila Parishad ground as the rally was preparing to move towards its designated route.The Tiranga Yatra was taken out from the Zila Parishad ground and passed through Randhir Verma Chowk before culminating at City Centre.The procession was led by BJP district president Shravan Rai and was attended by a large number of party workers and supporters.According to reports, a dispute broke out between BJP workers Amarjeet Kumar and Rita Yadav shortly after the rally began.The argument reportedly escalated into a physical confrontation, with both allegedly assaulting each other. A video of the incident has also surfaced, purportedly showing the two workers involved in the scuffle.Amarjeet Kumar alleged that Rita Yadav told him that the rally had been organised at her direction. He further alleged that she used abusive language during the argument.Amarjeet said he asked her to maintain proper language and pointed out that the Tiranga Yatra was being conducted under the leadership of district president Shravan Rai.He questioned how the rally could have been organised at her instructions.The disagreement subsequently escalated into a confrontation.Other party workers intervened and separated the two, preventing the situation from escalating further. Despite the incident, the Tiranga Yatra continued along its scheduled route without interruption.BJP district president Shravan Rai described the incident as a minor disagreement between party workers. He said that such arguments or misunderstandings sometimes occur among workers and added that both sides had been counselled.Rai said the exact reason behind the dispute was being examined and that the actual circumstances would become clear only after the matter was investigated.
