Dhanbad: The district administration will organise a one-day blood donation camp at the District Collectorate on August 4 to mark the first death anniversary of late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren.Deputy commissioner Aditya Ranjan has appealed to heads of departments, govt officials and employees posted at the Collectorate to take part in the camp and motivate colleagues and subordinate staff to donate blood. He said voluntary blood donation is among the noblest forms of service because it can save lives during medical emergencies.The deputy commissioner said the most meaningful tribute to Shibu would be wide participation in the humanitarian campaign for the welfare of people in need. “Donating blood is equivalent to giving the gift of life. By participating in this noble cause, we can pay true homage to the legacy of Dishom Guru,” he said.The administration said holding the camp on his first death anniversary reflects the compassion, humanity and social responsibility Soren stood for. Officials hope it will strengthen blood reserves for patients and promote voluntary donation across Dhanbad.
