Dhanbad: At least four workers were allegedly buried alive under coal slurry at the Munidih coal washery operated by Bharat Coking Coal Limited (BCCL) in the district on Saturday, sources said.Sources said that the incident took place when coal slurry was being loaded onto trucks by workers. Several other workers are suspected to be trapped under the slurry, raising concerns that the death toll could rise further.After receiving information, local administration officials, police personnel and rescue teams rushed to the spot. Heavy machinery, including excavators, have been deployed to clear the debris and expedite rescue efforts.Authorities said that rescue operations are being carried out on a war footing to locate and evacuate those trapped under debris. Several locals gathered near the site, while officials continue to monitor the situation closely.The exact cause of the accident remains unclear at this stage.Authorities have ordered an investigation into the incident, and a detailed report is awaited.
