Dhanbad: A 22-year-old man was killed, and a woman was critically injured after lightning struck BCCL Colony at Kusum Vihar in Dhanbad on Monday.The deceased has been identified as Aman Kumar. The injured woman, Soni Ravani (30), is undergoing treatment at Shahid Nirmal Mahto Medical College and Hospital (SNMMCH). While Aman was declared dead on arrival, Soni remained critical.“The families of Aman and Soni had moved into Kusum Vihar from the underground fire-affected areas in Jharia a year ago,” Dilip Kumar, a resident of the colony, said. Both were outside their homes when lightning struck the area amid heavy cloud cover and thunder, eyewitnesses said.
