Chennai: DMK has convened a meeting of the party MLAs on June 17, a day ahead of the assembly session.The meeting to be held at DMK headquarters in Chennai will be chaired by DMK president M K Stalin. This will be the first meeting of DMK MLAs after the election results. In the meeting, Stalin will brief his party MLAs about the governor’s customary address to be delivered in the state assembly and the response of the DMK MLAs to the address.In the previous DMK govt, former TN Governor R N Ravi had chosen to skip portions of the governor’s address prepared by the state govt or declined to read it fully. He had also walked out of the assembly leading to backlash.DMK leaders are also expected to brief the MLAs on raising various issues against the TVK govt at the meeting.
