Ramgarh: The district administration on Tuesday launched Project Samarth to improve the socio-economic condition of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) and tribal communities by linking them with welfare schemes.North Chhotanagar divisional commissioner Vijay Kumar Gupta launched the initiative at a special camp in Dohakatu panchayat. MLA Mamta Devi, DC Rituraj and other officials were present on the occasion.Similar camps were also organised in Murpa panchayat of Mandu block.Under the initiative, administrative teams conducted door-to-door surveys in 34 selected villages to identify gaps in housing, drinking water, health, education, electricity, roads, pensions and ration benefits. Eligible beneficiaries received job cards, tricycles and other scheme-related assets at the camps.Officials said the objective is to ensure that govt welfare schemes reach the most deprived PVTG and ST households. Addressing the gathering, Gupta said, “The initiative would help bring remote tribal families into the development mainstream.”
