CM Samrat Choudhary at Khadi Mall in Patna on Friday
Patna: The state govt has approved financial assistance of over Rs 3.6 crore for handloom weavers and operators of electrically run looms on the occasion of the 12th National Handloom Day.CM Samrat Choudhary visited Khadi Mall in Patna and interacted with weavers. The industries department said Rs 1 crore would be provided as working capital assistance to UID-registered handloom weavers, while Rs 2.62 crore was sanctioned as an electricity subsidy for operators of electrically run looms. Around 29,000 weavers are expected to benefit from the assistance, officials said.
