Hazaribag: Deputy commissioner Hemant Sati on Friday announced that two more big libraries will soon come up in the district to expand public study infrastructure and cater to the growing needs of students preparing for competitive examinations.Sati made the announcement during an inspection of the Rukmani district library, where he interacted with students and took stock of facilities available at the library. Students urged the administration to provide a high-speed internet connection and add books and study materials required for competitive examinations and monthly magazines.The DC said books and study materials at the existing library as well as the two upcoming libraries would be procured according to students’ requirements to ensure aspirants have access to adequate learning resources.Students also sought basic amenities such as drinking water, toilets and mobile and laptop charging points. Sati approved those and directed officials concerned to take necessary steps for their early implementation.Sati said providing a conducive study environment for competitive examination aspirants was among its priorities. “Libraries are not merely places for reading books but centres that help shape students’ dreams and futures,” he said.The district administration is working to improve access to books, digital resources and essential facilities so that students can prepare effectively for examinations and bring recognition to the district, he added.
