Dhanbad: Saurabh Datta Gupta, associate professor in the Department of Applied Geophysics at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, participated as a speaker and session chair at Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) symposium, “Transforming Energy Exploration: Technology, Sustainability, and Innovation,” held in Bengaluru from Sept 23 to 25.The three-day international symposium brought together industry leaders, researchers, geoscientists, technology experts and policymakers to deliberate on emerging exploration technologies, sustainable energy solutions and new opportunities across the energy sector.Gupta chaired a technical session on “Uncertainty & Risk” along with Subrata Banerjee of Adani Welspun Exploration Ltd. He also presented a technical paper titled “Concept-driven analysis towards the establishment of potentiality for Natural Hydrogen in the Rajmahal Trap of Eastern India.”His presentation focused on the use of concept-driven geophysical and geological analysis to assess the potential for natural hydrogen in Rajmahal Trap region of eastern India.
