Ranchi: Indian team’s southpaw and local lad Ishan Kishan on Thursday returned briefly to Ranchi amid the ongoing IPL tournament, to unveil the trophy for Jharkhand T20 league, which is expected to begin from next month. Prior to that, while speaking to media, Kishan said, “I am so glad that my home association is finally coming up with such prestigious IPL for homegrown players. If I am available, I am also excited to play in this league. It was much needed platform for local talents here and I am sure that it will pave way for more talents to make it to IPL and Indian team in future.”JSCA president Ajay Nath Shahdeo on the other hand said that they have tied up with appointment of SJ Uplift to develop the Jharkhand’s own T20 cricket league. “It will be a completely professional league themed on IPL format. Our association with SJ Uplift will be for a period of seven years, kickstarting the first season with six franchises. Many big firms have already started evincing interest to bid for the team and players,” he said, adding that gradually it will be scaled further.JSCA secretary and former India player Saurabh Tiwary said that while detailed format will be released in coming days but all top players of the state who have at least played under-19 format will be up for auction.
