Jharkhand receives Rs 3,310 crore under CAMPA Fund in 5 years

Ranchi: Jharkhand has received Rs 3,310.45 crore under the National Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority (National CAMPA) and another Rs 22.3 crore under Nagar Van Yojana in the past five years.Union minister of state for environment, forest and climate change Kirti Vardhan Singh told the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.Replying to a question raised by MP Parimal Nathwani, the ministry said during last five years, a total of 78,423.96 hectares of degraded forest land have been restored in Jharkhand.The minister also said that the National Adaptation Fund for Climate Change (NAFCC) was established in 2015 as a Central Sector Scheme to support concrete adaptation activities in the states and UTs in the country, that are vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. Under that, 30 projects have been sanctioned to states and UTs, including Jharkhand.
