Ranchi: The Jharkhand Women Development Society (JWDS), under the state women, child development, and social security department, has partnered with a civil society organisation, Association for Parivartan of Nation (APNA), to strengthen women and child protection services across the state.The non-financial collaboration aims to improve implementation of Mission Shakti and expand protection, support, and safety services for women and vulnerable groups, with a focus on strengthening the state’s 35 ‘One Stop Centres’ (OSCs).A total of 11,151 women and girls received assistance at OSCs in Jharkhand from ??? to August 31, Mission Shakti data revealed.The partnership will support standardised case management protocols, standard operating procedures, beneficiary tracking, and grievance redressal across OSCs. It will also upgrade the women’s helpline, build frontline staff capacity, provide survivor-centred training, and coordinate Mission Shakti components through a joint state-level operational framework.Technology will be used through digital case management, beneficiary platforms, and real-time monitoring dashboards. The initiative will also include awareness drives on women’s rights and welfare schemes, policy research, technical advisory support, and coordination with police, health services, legal services authorities, rural development, JSLPS, and protection officers.Program director at APNA, Hunar Malik, said, “The collaboration would help translate policy intent into practical, on-ground impact by strengthening case management, training, and digital systems that directly support survivors and beneficiaries.”
