Daltonganj: Two youths were killed after being struck by lightning in Latehar town on Thursday afternoon, officials said. The incident occurred near KGBAV Bajkum around 12.45 pm amid inclement weather. The victims were identified as Piyush Kumar (20), a resident of Dharampura locality, and Pawan Sahu (18) of Chandandeeh locality. Both were residents of Latehar town.The two were caught in the open and failed to find a shelter under a concrete structure on time.After the strike, locals brought them to Sadar Hospital but doctors declared them dead on arrival, Ved Prakash, a senior health official, at the hospital said.
