Madhubani students demand resignation of Pradhan

Madhubani: Hundreds of students under the banner of the Chhatra Sangharsh Samiti staged a protest in Madhubani on Thursday, demanding the resignation of Union education minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.The demonstration was led by Santosh Yadav, president of the Chhatra Sangharsh Samiti. Addressing the gathering, Yadav criticised the Centre and referred to the ongoing student protest at Jantar Mantar in Delhi over the alleged NEET paper leak.He alleged that several students were injured after police action during a march towards Parliament on July 20. Yadav also claimed that some female protesters were subjected to mistreatment during the agitation.Speakers at the event alleged that multiple paper leak incidents had occurred across the country in recent years and called for greater accountability in the conduct of competitive examinations.Referring to the NEET controversy, the protesters alleged that paper leak incidents had adversely affected thousands of aspirants and raised concerns over the future of students. They accused the govt of failing to curb examination malpractices.Student leaders demanded the immediate resignation of Pradhan, holding him responsible for the alleged lapses in the examination system. The protesters warned that their agitation would continue and intensify if their demands were not addressed.
