Ranchi: A special Pocso court here on Wednesday sentenced a man to death for the rape and murder of a six-year-old girl in 2020. Sources said the accused was convicted under sections 376 (AB), 302 and 201 of IPC and Section 6 of the Pocso Act on Monday. The sentence was pronounced on Wednesday after hearing on the point of sentencing. The convict had murdered the girl after raping her. He had packed her body in a sack and thrown it in an agriculture field.
