Ranchi: Union minister of state for defence Sanjay Seth on Thursday inaugurated a medical room at Birsa Munda Airport. The facility, set up by Ranchi-based Bhagwan Mahavir Manipal Hospital, will provide immediate medical assistance, emergency care, first aid and basic health services to travellers and airport personnel, ensuring timely medical attention whenever required.Seth said, “As Birsa Munda Airport continues to witness increasing passenger traffic, it is important that facilities evolve to meet emerging needs. The availability of immediate medical assistance at the airport will strengthen emergency preparedness and ensure that travellers have timely access to healthcare whenever required. Such initiatives also contribute towards improving healthcare accessibility across the state.”Abid Tauqeer, director of the hospital, said the medical room has been established to ensure that travellers and airport personnel receive immediate medical attention when they need it the most, while facilitating timely access to advanced care in emergency situations.
