Patna: Food and consumer protection minister Ashok Choudhary on Sunday reviewed development works in Samastipur district and participated in programmes marking the start of several road projects.The review meeting was held at the Samastipur circuit house in the presence of road construction minister Kumar Shailendra. Choudhary said the Satighat-Rajghat main road was an important project for the region and would provide better transport connectivity after completion.According to a statement, the meeting also reviewed ongoing road projects and other development schemes in Kusheshwarsthan and Hayaghat under the Samastipur Lok Sabha constituency. Officials were directed to complete pending works within the stipulated deadlines while maintaining quality standards.Later, widening and strengthening work on the 4.607-km Ilamasnagar-Ballipur-Dumra road under the Rosera assembly segment was formally launched.At a ceremony at Kalwara Chowk, the foundation stone was laid for the long-awaited Rosera bypass project. Choudhary said the project would improve connectivity, reduce traffic pressure and boost the economic and social development of surrounding villages.Samastipur MP Shambhavi, MLAs Birendra Kumar, Ashok Kumar and Manjarik Mrinal, Legislative Council member Tarun Kumar, BJP district president Neelam Sahni, and several public representatives and officials were present.
