New Delhi: What appeared to be a gunpoint robbery of Rs 3.5 lakh near Sherpur Chowk in northeast Delhi turned out to be an alleged inside job, with the victim’s shop employee emerging as the insider. Police have arrested three accused, including the employee, and apprehended a 17-year-old minor.According to police, the incident was reported on Aug 2. Ravi Singh Jadon told cops that he was travelling on his motorcycle with his shop employee, Mohit, carrying the cash and two mobile phones in a bag. Two masked men allegedly intercepted them on a scooter, robbed them at gunpoint and fled.A case was registered at Dayalpur police station.Police identified the accused as Mohit, 23, Aazan, 19, Shehzad, 20, and the minor. During interrogation, police alleged that Mohit had shared the victims’ live location and identified the cash bag through a gesture. Another motorcycle followed the victims and relayed their movement to the robbers.Police recovered Rs 15,000 and the motorcycle allegedly used in the crime.
