Dhanbad: The political stand-off between Dhanbad MP Dulu Mahato and Nirsa MLA Arup Chatterjee took a new turn after fugitive gangster Hyder Ali alias Prince Khan reportedly released an audio clip denying that he had threatened the lawmakers. In the clip, which has gone viral, Khan claimed that Mahato and Chatterjee were using his name for political gains.However, Dhanbad police on Wednesday questioned the veracity of the clip. Dhanbad SSP Prabhat Kumar said, “At first glance, the audio appears to be fabricated and AI-generated. A technical investigation is underway, and further action will be taken based on the findings of the forensic analysis.”The row began after Chatterjee filed an FIR at Nirsa police station on July 4, accusing Khan of issuing death threats and making extortion calls to him. He also named Mahato in a conspiracy. Mahato later claimed that he, too, was threatened and showed photos allegedly linking Chatterjee to Prince Khan’s associates Rizwan Siddiqui and Moiz Khan.
