Patna: A property dealer was shot dead in Mehandi Nagar under the Riga police station area of Sitamarhi district on Saturday evening. The deceased was identified as Dinesh Yadav (40), who is said to be the brother of notorious gangster Rakesh Yadav.According to police, assailants who were already lying in wait opened indiscriminate fire on Dinesh. He was hit by multiple bullets, most of them around the arm, shoulder and neck. He died on the spot.As soon as information was received, the Riga police station team and Sadar SDPO Rajeev Kumar Singh reached the spot. Police collected evidence from the spot and started checking CCTV footage from cameras installed nearby.Sadar DSP Rajeev Kumar Singh said, “The matter is being investigated seriously. Raids are being conducted at possible hideouts for the arrest of the accused. The criminals will be identified and arrested soon.”
