Times News NetworkDaltonganj: In a move to strengthen public trust, Palamu police on Saturday returned missing mobile phones to their owners at a special function held at the SP office in Daltonganj.The initiative follows a directive from Jharkhand DGP Tadasha Mishra, who asked police superintendents across the state’s 24 districts to organise programmes for returning recovered mobile phones to their rightful owners on the 25th of every month.Palamu SP Kapil Chaudhary handed over the recovered devices to their owners, many of whom had given up hope of ever getting them back. Around 20 people, including three women, collected their phones during the ceremony.

One of the recipients was a woman constable posted in Palamu, who said she lost her mobile phone in May this year.The SP urged citizens to remain vigilant with their mobile phones, particularly in crowded places.
