Sasaram: A woman allegedly left her husband and absconded with another man after being appointed a Bihar Police constable in Dehri, Rohtas district.Archana Bharti, posted with the Bihar Special Armed Police (BSAP) in Begusarai, allegedly left her matrimonial home with Vivek Kumar, prompting her husband Ajay Singh to approach Dalmia Nagar police and the Rohtas SP.Ajay said he married Archana, a resident of Airkota under Darihat police station, on Jan 26, 2025. He claimed he supported her preparations for the recruitment examination and accompanied her to examination centres.After completing training in Darbhanga and joining the service, Archana’s behaviour towards him gradually changed, Ajay alleged. He claimed he later found WhatsApp conversations between Archana and Vivek, following which an argument took place.Ajay alleged Archana subsequently left home with Vivek. Her mother, Shakuntala Devi, has also approached the Rohtas SP regarding the matter.The allegations are subject to police investigation.
