Patna: City-based tutor and academy director Roshan Anand, who was granted bail by a Patna court in connection with the June 2 violence at a coaching institute, has accused educator Faisal Khan, popularly known as Khan Sir, of conspiring to kill his brother, Prince Yadav.Speaking to reporters after his release from Beur jail on Monday, Anand questioned the police investigation and demanded a narco-analysis test on Khan. He alleged that Patna police had acted swiftly in arresting him within six hours of the incident but had failed to take action against Khan Sir even after 72-hours.Roshan alleged that Khan was receiving political protection and accused the police of acting under his influence. He further alleged that his brother’s death was part of a larger conspiracy and said he would continue seeking justice until the truth comes out.Referring to the June 2 clash, Roshan denied allegations that his side had opened fire and claimed that CCTV footage had revealed who was responsible for the shooting. He also questioned why his brother was allegedly targeted after he himself was sent to jail.Prince, who was named in the FIR lodged after the attack on Khan Sir’s coaching centre, was found dead in a hotel in Biratnagar, Nepal, on Saturday night. His funeral was scheduled to take place in Saharsa after the family brought his mortal remains to Bihar.Meanwhile, Khan Sir rejected the murder allegations and expressed grief over Prince’s death in a video message. He said Prince was a close friend and maintained that no one had killed him. According to Khan Sir, Prince had been suffering from health issues and had previously suffered two strokes. He also referred to statements by Prince’s friends, who reportedly said he was undergoing medical treatment and was unable to sleep for the last five-seven days before his death.Khan said in his video: “Everything was going well, until suddenly I saw the news and learned that Roshan Anand Sir’s brother, Prince, had died. I thought it was fake news and initially, scolded the person who told me.”He continued, “This conspiracy was hatched by a third party, taking advantage of the fight between us. A high-level team should be formed to investigate this matter. Whoever is found guilty should not be spared at any cost.”Anand was granted bail by the Patna civil court after spending nearly two weeks in jail. His counsel, advocate Ramakant Sharma, said the court observed that the prosecution’s case against him was based solely on allegations of conspiracy and that he was not present at the scene of the incident. Sharma also said the court emphasised that competition between teachers should remain healthy and that educators should conduct themselves in a manner befitting their profession.Meanwhile, leader of opposition in state assembly Tejashwi Prasad Yadav has demanded a CBI probe into the death of Prince.
