Ranchi: Sadar Hospital will get advanced facilities, including a Cath Lab and PET scan, within three months, and a bone marrow transplant unit within six months to strengthen specialised healthcare and reduce referrals outside Jharkhand, Ranchi district administration said on Thursday.The announcement followed deputy commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri’s inspection, covering OPD, CT scan, MRI, pathology, orthopaedic and paediatric wards, and interactions with patients and attendants on care quality and medicine availability.Officials said the hospital already has a 128-slice CT scan, MRI, digital X-ray, 24×7 ultrasound, colour Doppler, dialysis, ECG, TMT, tele-radiology, a Tele-ICU hub, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, nerve conduction tests and EEG.“Our effort is to continuously strengthen medical facilities at Sadar Hospital and address gaps through regular monitoring,” Bhajantri said.
