Children in fornt of Dhanbad Sadar Hospital before heading to Ranchi
Ranchi: Seven children with cleft lip were sent to Ranchi on Monday for free corrective surgery after being identified at a special camp under the Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) at Dhanbad Sadar Hospital. The children, aged five months to 13 years, travelled in a vehicle to Dev Kamal Hospital, where they will undergo surgery. Dhanbad civil surgeon Dr Alok Vishwakarma said deputy commissioner Aditya Ranjan aims to help the children overcome the congenital condition and lead normal, confident lives. He said such procedures can cost several lakhs at private hospitals but are being provided free with district administration support.
