NEW DELHI: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds across several parts of India on Wednesday.Delhi, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, West Bengal, parts of central India and several southern states are likely to see unsettled weather.Rain is also expected in parts of the east, northeast and south, with rainfall likely to continue across several regions over the next few days.

IMD alert for Wednesday

Thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds are likely in Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jharkhand, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Odisha, Uttarakhand, West Bengal and Sikkim may also see thunderstorms with lightning and gusty winds.Chhattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha are likely to see thunderstorms and lightning.

Delhi-NCR weather tomorrow

Delhi, Haryana and Chandigarh are likely to see thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds.The weather is expected to remain unsettled in the region over the next few days, with rain and thunderstorms possible through Sunday.

North India weather forecast

Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad are likely to see thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds on Wednesday.Uttar Pradesh may see thunderstorms and lightning, while rain is also likely in parts of the state.Rainfall is expected to continue across Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand through Sunday. Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad are also likely to receive rain over the coming days.

East and central India forecast
