Patna: The state govt on Monday transferred 12 IAS officers, reshuffling several senior bureaucrats and assigning them new responsibilities in key departments and districts across the state. The changes were notified by the general administration department (GAD) in an order issued late Monday night. Some officers were given additional charges, while others were relieved of their existing responsibilities.Rajesh Kumar (2001-batch) has been appointed commissioner, Patna division, after being transferred from the public health engineering department.Mayank Warwade (2001-batch), the outgoing commissioner of Patna division, has been transferred and posted as principal secretary, monitoring department.New district magistrates have been appointed in five districts. Manesh Kumar Meena will be the new DM of Bhojpur, Richi Pandey of Begusarai, Vijay Prakash Meena of Siwan, Tanay Sultania of Sitamarhi and Kumar Anurag of Kaimur.Among the other key changes, Arvind Kumar Choudhary (1995-batch), additional chief secretary, cabinet secretariat department, has been given additional charge as controller of examinations, Bihar State Joint Entrance Examination Board. He will continue as director general, Bipard, with additional responsibilities.H R Srinivas (1996-batch) has been transferred from the social welfare department and posted as additional chief secretary, rural development department. He will continue to hold additional charge as commissioner, GAD.Pankaj Kumar (1997-batch), principal secretary, rural development department, has been transferred and posted as principal secretary, home department. He will continue to hold additional charge as commissioner, GAD. Kundan Kumar (2004-batch), secretary, industries department, will be relieved of his additional charge as secretary, home department.The govt has also reshuffled responsibilities in the finance, urban development, public health engineering and commercial taxes departments.Vinay Kumar (1999-batch), principal secretary, urban development and housing department, has been transferred and posted as principal secretary, finance department. He will continue to hold additional charge of principal secretary, urban development and housing department.Sanjay Kumar Singh (2007-batch), secretary, finance department, has been transferred and posted as secretary, prohibition, excise and registration department. He will continue to hold additional charges relating to commercial taxes and other responsibilities mentioned in the notification.Naveen Kumar (2011-batch) has been relieved of his additional charge of the prohibition, excise and registration department.Vinod Singh Gunjiyal (2007-batch), secretary, election department-cum-chief electoral officer, Bihar, has been given additional charge as secretary, social welfare department. He has also been relieved of his additional charge of the education department.In the water resources and higher education department, B Karthikeya Dhanji (2008-batch) has been transferred from the minor water resources department and posted as secretary, public health engineering department. He will continue as inquiry commissioner, GAD.Rajiv Roshan (2010-batch), secretary, higher education department, has been transferred and posted as secretary, education department. He will continue to hold additional charge of the higher education department and the resources-related assignment in the finance department.Chandrashekhar Singh (2010-batch), secretary, water resources department, will continue to hold additional charge as mission director, Bihar Development Mission, and secretary, minor water eesources department.Navdeep Shukla (2013-batch), special secretary, youth, employment and skill development department, will continue to hold additional charge as project director, Bihar Education Project Council.
