Hazaribag: The body of a 19-year-old woman was recovered from a well in Siddki village in Chatra district on Thursday.The deceased was identified as Shanti Kumari, a resident of Siddki village.Local residents said villagers spotted a body floating in the well and informed Pratappur police. A team rushed to the spot and, with villagers’ help, retrieved the body after considerable effort.Pratappur police station in charge Alok Ranjan Chaudhary said the body appeared three to four days old and was badly decomposed due to prolonged submersion. It was sent for post-mortem after legal formalities. Preliminary questioning suggests the case could be linked to a love affair, but police said no conclusion has been reached and all angles, including technical evidence, are being examined to determine the cause.
