Ranchi: The Jharkhand Academic Council (JAC) on Saturday announced a mandatory online validation process from Aug 1 to 8 for JTET-2024 candidates who no longer have access to the mobile number or email ID used during their registration.Only candidates who successfully complete the candidate validation process will be eligible to apply for the Jharkhand Teacher Eligibility Test (JTET)-2026. The online application window for the examination will remain open from Aug 20 to 31.Under the validation mechanism, candidates will first have to authenticate their new mobile number and email ID through one-time passwords. They will then be required to submit their personal and educational details on the designated portal. The council will match the information furnished by them with its JTET-2024 database.“Only candidates whose details fully match the previous records will be allowed to apply for JTET-2026. Any discrepancy or inconsistency may lead to rejection of the validation request,” the council said in a statement.Council officials said the verification system was introduced to prevent the misuse of candidates’ credentials and ensure that applications were submitted only by genuine aspirants.JAC will also provide an application correction facility from Aug 20 to 31. During this period, applicants will be able to edit details such as their name, parents’ names, date of birth, address and subject without paying any additional fee.The council said detailed guidelines for using the correction facility would be issued separately. Candidates have been advised to ensure that the information submitted during validation matches their previous records.
