Hazaribag: A total of 285 litres of mahua liquor and six stolen motorcycles allegedly used to transport it to Bihar were seized during a raid at Ambatari village, Chauparan police said.Acting on a tip-off received by Hazaribag SP on Saturday, a team raided the area at Ambatari, where stolen motorcycles were reportedly being used to transport liquor.Officer in-charge of the Chauparan police station Pankaj Kumar said, “All six vehicles were found to be stolen upon verification of the engine, chassis, and registration numbers of the two-wheelers. An FIR has been lodged against five named liquor smugglers and the owners of the motorcycles. Hunt is under way to arrest the accused.”Police are investigating how and for how long the stolen bikes were used, where the liquor was prepared, and who else is linked to the smuggling network, he added.
