Ranchi: An Argora police station sub-inspector was injured early Sunday while chasing two bike-borne men accused of robbing two fruit-laden truck drivers and threatening them with a knife in Ranchi.Ranchi SP Paras Rana said SI Mukesh Kumar Upadhyay received information around 4.30 am that the duo had allegedly looted Rs 600, mobile phones and other belongings from the drivers. Upadhyay immediately pursued the suspects and tried to stop them.Police said the accused attacked him while attempting to flee, fracturing his left shoulder. Despite the injury, Upadhyay overpowered and arrested both men.The suspects were identified as Aman Kumar (25) of Sukhdeonagar and Aman Tiwari (25) of Kanke. Police recovered four mobile phones, the motorcycle allegedly used in the crime, and the knife from their possession. Rana said neither had a previous criminal record and both were allegedly under the influence of alcohol.
