Bokaro: Chas Municipal Corporation (CMC) on Tuesday said it will install 2,500 streetlights across its 35 wards. The move is aimed at enhancing street lighting, improving the overall appearance of the city.Installation will begin before Muharram, scheduled on June 26, in Wards 1, 8, 9 and 10. Thereafter, it will be extended to the remaining wards in a phased manner.Mayor Bholu Paswan said, “Illuminating every corner of the city remains a priority for the municipal corporation. We are also working on a plan to install solar-powered high-mast lights in every ward in the coming years.”In a separate event, Bokaro MLA Shwettaa Singh laid the foundation stone for a new bridge over the Garga River between Tetulia Mouza and Bari Cooperative Moad area in Chas block.
