Ranchi: Ranchi will host the 12th National Ranking Skating Championship from June 17 to 21 in Khelgaon, officials said on Monday.Roller Skating Association of Jharkhand (RSAJ) president Vikas Singh said, “Over 1,000 skaters from 21 states are expected to participate in the five-day event. From Jharkhand alone, 197 participants from 13 districts will compete in various categories.RSAJ secretary Sumit Sharma said, “The championship would provide a platform for young athletes to showcase their talent at the national level.”The rink includes 100-metre to 250-metre road circuit tracks. In the second phase of development, facilities for skateboarding and artistic hockey are being planned.
