CM inaugurates new building of 400-bed orthopaedic hospital at LNJP

Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Saturday inaugurated the new building of the 400-bed orthopaedic super specialty hospital on the Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan (LNJP) Hospital campus at Rajvanshi Nagar in the state capital.Following the inauguration, the CM carried out a detailed inspection of different departments, modern medical equipment and health facilities available at the hospital. He also interacted with admitted patients and sought feedback on the medical services, treatment and care being provided to them.According to a communique issued by the CM’s Office, the super specialty facility has been equipped with all modern services.

These include a world-class modular operation theatre, state-of-the-art intensive care unit, sports injury centre, advanced radiology department, modern physiotherapy unit, trauma and emergency services, outpatient department, plaster room, minor operation theatre, MRI facility, therapy room and occupational therapy unit.

The CM said the state govt’s objective is to provide world-class, quality healthcare to the people of Bihar within the state. He said the launch of the modern hospital would ensure that patients suffering from serious orthopaedic conditions no longer need to depend on institutions in other states for treatment.At a separate programme organised by the transport department at Veterinary College Ground here, the CM flagged off electric buses to be operated under the Prime Minister e-Bus Seva Yojana, along with the new deluxe bus fleet of the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation (BSRTC).During the programme, the first electric bus was launched from the 400 electric buses approved for Bihar under the Prime Minister e-Bus Seva Yojana of the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Of these, 200 buses are in the 12-metre category and 200 in the 9-metre category.In addition, 3 AC and 73 non-AC buses were launched from BSRTC’s 149-bus deluxe fleet, which comprises 75 AC and 74 non-AC buses at the Patna event on Saturday.
