Ranchi: The Jharkhand high court on Thursday rapped the Jharkhand govt for its inability to fill up the vacant post of Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) chairman and other members. It directed the govt to inform the court the timeframe by when the vacant posts would be filled up. During the hearing of the suo motto petition, the court had observed that the JPSC is a constitutional body and that the post of its chairman cannot be left vacant for long. Former JPSC chairman L Khiangte had vacated the post on July 21. The case would next be heard on September 10.
