HAZARIBAG: A major train mishap was averted late on Friday when the Ranchi-bound Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat Express collided with a tractor-trolley loaded with timber that had entered the railway track between Charhi and Bes railway stations in Hazaribag district.No injuries were reported, though the train is believed to have sustained minor damage.According to preliminary information, the train was travelling from Patna to Ranchi via Hazaribag Town station when the tractor-trolley suddenly came onto the track.The loco pilot reportedly applied emergency measures to avert the collision but was unable to stop the train on time.The train struck the vehicle and was brought to a halt immediately after the impact.The train remained stranded at the site for about 41 minutes while officials inspected the track and assessed the condition of the train.Services resumed only after safety clearance was given.Railway authorities have launched an inquiry into the incident.
