Ranchi: In a major push toward the welfare of security personnel, chief minister Hemant Soren on Monday ordered the immediate identification of land for the construction of the “Dishom Guru Shibu Soren Residential School” on the Jaguar Campus on Ranchi’s Ring Road.Chairing a high-level review meeting at the Project Building, he emphasised that providing quality education to the children of martyred police personnel and jawans serving in the Army and Central Para Military Forces (CPMF) is a top priority for the state govt. The proposed complex will be a comprehensive educational hub, offering classes from Grade 1 to 12.“The operation of this school must be in accordance with the highest standards of excellence,” Soren told officials while reviewing a detailed PowerPoint presentation on the project’s action plan. The facility is set to feature modern infrastructure including smart classrooms, ICT labs, advanced libraries, and extensive sports amenities.A key highlight of the project is the residential provision for senior students. The CM directed that high-quality, separate hostels for male and female students of Classes 6 to 12 be established on the campus. While the Detailed Project Report (DPR) is already complete, the CM has set a strict timeline for land marking at the Jaguar Campus to ensure that academic sessions can begin at the earliest. The meeting also saw a significant discussion regarding a dedicated healthcare facility at JAP-10, Hotwar. The proposed 50-bed hospital, which can be expanded to 100 beds, will operate on a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode. Hemant mandated the availability of specialist doctors and modern medical equipment to ensure that the families of police personnel have access to premium medical care. The meeting was attended by state chief secretary Avinash Kumar, DGP Tadasha Mishra, and other senior secretaries from the home, health, and education departments.
