Kolkata: An employee of a corporate firm in the city has accused a senior executive, her supervisor, of sexual harassment, non-consensual physical contact and assault and lodged a complaint at the Anandapur Police Station.The alleged incidents took place at the office in Madurdaha, Hosseinpur, on Sept 9 and Sept 22, stated the complaint lodged on Thursday. The accused allegedly targeted her during individual workplace meetings.According to the survivor, the harassment started on Sept 9. She detailed two encounters during office hours on Sept 22, when she claimed she was harassed and molested. During a discussion on payroll discrepancies around 4 pm, the supervisor allegedly initiated unwanted physical contact but the woman went back to her workstation. But the supervisor called her back to his office around 6 pm to apparently review some work on a laptop, the claimed. This time, the supervisor allegedly again touched her inappropriately but distanced himself when another woman entered the room. After the woman left, the accused allegedly made inappropriate demands of working hours and assaulted her.The complainant called a former colleague with whom she kept speaking till she left the premises.She told police while there was no CCTV camera in the supervisor’s office, footage of common areas and access points could be checked to establish the timeline.
