Ramgarh: At least 10 people were injured after six-vehicle pile-up in the Chutupalu valley stretch of NH-33 in Ramgarh district on Wednesday.Police said the accident occurred when a speeding trailer travelling from Ranchi towards Ramgarh suffered a brake failure and ploughed into a passenger bus, a car and three motorcycles.Ramgarh police station officer in-charge Naveen Prakash Pandey said, “The trailer driver lost control of the vehicle before hitting a bus travelling from Ranchi to Giridih, and other vehicles moving on the same stretch.”The injured, including passengers of the bus, were rescued by police with the help of locals and rushed to Ramgarh Sadar Hospital. No fatalities were reported till the filing of this report.The multi-vehicle collision led to a massive traffic disruption on the highway, leaving hundreds of commuters stranded for several hours. Police and National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) personnel rushed to the spot with cranes and cleared the damaged vehicles to restore traffic movement.
