Ranchi: The Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) has launched an enforcement drive against commercial educational institutions operating without valid permissions.According to civic body data, Ranchi has 1,364 educational institutions, including around 831 coaching institutes. However, only 68 coaching centres possess valid municipal trade licences.On Saturday, an RMC trade licence team inspected coaching institutes across the city and issued notices to 20 found operating without valid licences.The establishments have been directed to remove unauthorised promotional materials and obtain trade licences within three days of receiving the notices. Failure to comply will result in the immediate sealing of their premises, with the institutes held responsible for legal consequences.RMC said the crackdown would be extended across the city in phases over the coming weeks to cover all commercial educational institutions operating without mandatory licences.
