Patna: The expansion plan for the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) in Gaya will have to take into account green areas, land use and environmental aspects, Bihar industries secretary Kundan Kumar said during an inspection of the industrial cluster on Sunday.According to an official communique, Kumar reviewed the ongoing development and infrastructure works at IMC and directed officials to expedite construction and complete the projects within the stipulated timelines.He also directed officials to assess land adjoining the IMC and examine the possibility of acquiring additional land for its future expansion. The officials have been asked to submit an updated report within two days.Kumar said the assessment should consider green areas, overall land use, environmental aspects and future industrial requirements to ensure planned and sustainable development of the cluster.He also held a review meeting with the project management agency to assess the progress, quality and timelines of the ongoing works.“IMC Gaya is emerging as an important centre for modern industrial infrastructure and investment in Bihar,” Kumar said, adding that its expansion potential should be explored while expediting the ongoing development works.
