Patna: The Bihar Regiment Centre (BRC) at Danapur cantonment observed the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas on Sunday, paying tributes to soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the Kargil conflict.BRC commandant Brigadier Rakesh Kumar Bora laid a wreath at the Veer Sthal Smriti and paid homage to the fallen heroes. He lauded the courage, valour and sacrifices of the soldiers of the Bihar Regiment.“The bravery and dedication of the soldiers will continue to inspire generations,” he said. Recalling the challenging conditions in which troops defended the nation, Brig Bora said, “The Bihar Regiment wrote saga of Kargil victory with the blood of soldiers. Their valour etched upon the towering peaks of Kargil and never allowed the tricolour to bow. The day is dedicated to immortal sons of the country.”A two-minute silence was observed as a mark of respect to the Kargil martyrs. Officers, JCOs and other ranks of the Bihar Regiment Centre were present during the commemorative ceremony.
