Nat’l recognition for best health practicesJharkhand got national recognition with two of its innovative public health best practices showcased at the 10th National Summit on Good and Replicable Practices in Public Health Systems at Chandigarh on April 30. Under the National Health Mission, the state’s ‘T4 app’ under Anaemia Mukt Bharat was selected for an oral presentation, earning wide appreciation. Jharkhand was also conferred a national award for successfully implementing the digital innovation aimed at improving anaemia management and beneficiary monitoring.Gym inauguratedSudesh Kumar Mahto, central president of Ajsu-P and former deputy CM, on Sunday inaugurated a gym in city’s Samlong area. Mahto said that amid the present hectic lifestyle, health is often being neglected. “The youth, too, do not appear to be conscious of their health. Consequently, the need for such fitness centres has become even more imperative. Young people need to utilise the resources of fitness centres to adopt a healthy lifestyle and strengthen their physical capabilities.
