Ramgarh: Deputy commissioner (DC) Rituraj has asked officials to expedite the payment of compensation to the landowners (raiyyats) affected by key road projects across Ramgarh district.Rituraj on Tuesday reviewed land acquisition and compensation cases linked to key projects of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects, including the Bharatmala project and roads at Chutupalu Ghati, Lalki Ghati, Barlanga-Kasmar and NH-33.He directed officials to set up camps in affected villages to settle pending claims. “Direct transfer of compensation amount to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries must be made after verifying genealogy records, land ownership documents and other formalities,” he said.
