Judicial staff’s meeting today in Patna over pay anomalies

Buxar: Judicial employees from across Bihar will meet in Patna on Sunday to deliberate on their long-pending demands and chalk out their future course of action.The general body meeting is being organised by the Bihar State Civil Court Employees’ Association. Its major demands include full implementation of the Shetty Commission recommendations, pay revision with effect from Jan 1, 2006, removal of pay anomalies, equal pay for equal work, time-bound promotions, promotions against vacant posts, cadre restructuring, creation of promotional posts and appointments on compassionate grounds.The association has also raised concerns over inadequate basic infrastructure in courts, citing shortages of computers, printers, UPS systems, internet connectivity, office furniture, record rooms, toilets and drinking water facilities. It said employees were nevertheless expected to ensure timely updating of the Case Information System (CIS) and safe maintenance of judicial records.State president Rajeshwar Tiwari and general secretary Satyarth Singh held a meeting in Buxar on Saturday and appealed to employees of the Buxar civil court and those across the state to attend the Patna meeting in large numbers.
